May Bank holiday will soon be upon us and organising our 2008 annual Blues Festival is starting in earnest. This year the main event falls on Sunday May 4th and we will be starting the festival on Saturday evening with a pre fest gig by The Revolutionaires We will add more info such as ticket prices and band info nearer the date but we thought we would give you a taster of the main event to wet your appetites. To start the festival off we have an excellent local band The Wax Jackets followed by everyones festival favourites The Simon Honeyboy Hickling Band finishing the first set in style are The Mighty Houserockers fronted by the superb Les Wilson. The evening starts off with Kyla Brox Trio, next up is a late call up as Hamilton Loomis had to cancel but not to worry as we have the excellent Eugene Hideaway Bridges as replacement. The headline act Memo Gonzales and the Bluescasters closes what promises to be our best festival yet. Keep coming back for more info, links to all bands will be added shortly, so much to do and so little time.
